About James Granberry
Photography and art are my passion. I love taking photos of landscapes, sunsets, and florals. Then digital minipulated creation begins. I specialize in my series "Make Every Negative A Positive." I also like layering art renderings and blending original image with the rendering. The result is bringing real particular elements of the image from the rendering, this is my "Coming to Life" series. My artistic desires and upbringing I can thank my parents for. My mother, Abigale, was an art and music major from The University of Texas, in Austin, Texas. Mom's father retired as an Engineering Drawing professor from U.T. My grandfather on my father's side retired as a Dean of electrical engineering from U.T. but had an artistic streak in him....

this image has soul....
James Granberry replied:
Thank you Diane.. That little duplex/house has soul still today. I'm glad people keep these old gems around in places like Red Rock. It's almost like a drive by history viewing. :)

I love the thought of how many things took place before the weathering of time took over
James Granberry replied:
Chris, you are so right, and thank you.

Thank you Naomi! This is true. First the old gas pumps at the feed store, and Siedel's has sold. I think the seller is finally retiring. I wonder what is next. I really like the Red Rock area for the way most rustin things can be seen from the roads. Liberty Hill is the other way around. Most things that are neat and rustic are back in on private property.
